Curiosity Brewing will be a 7–10 barrel (BBL), 80-100 seat taproom brewery in the greater Somerville, MA area, to be located in the transit-connected Davis to Magoun Sq corridor. We’ll produce award-winning New England IPAs alongside low-ABV innovations as part of a well-rounded taplist, served in a welcoming, community-driven taproom.
Our taproom-first model delivers 88% gross margins (before labor + overhead) by avoiding wholesale distribution channels. Importantly, the market is ripe: both taproom and NE IPA sales are growing, and the area’s young, affluent demographic is willing to pay a premium for quality beer experiences.
Led by an award-winning homebrewer with a decade of marketing & data science leadership, we’re seeking $1M via an equity round and debt to fund build-out, equipment, and runway. We project a small loss in year 1, ramping to $300k+ profit annually by year 3, with opening planned for Q2-Q3 2027.
